hagler 0 Posted October 28, 2006 My team: QB: Vick, Frye, Harrington RB: Portis/Betts, J.Jones/Barber, A.Green/Herron WR: Djack, L.Coles, Reggie Williams, Mason, Welker TE: Watson The trade: I give up A.Green, Herron, Harrington, Welker for Alex Smith, A.Bryant, choice of 2 of 3 (L.Jordan, D.Williams, J.Norwood) I suffer a little this week with Portis on a bye....but I can throw in one of the RBs I get in the trade. I get a better backup QB in Alex Smith...especially week 11 (Vick vs Ravens...Smith vs Seattle)...I can use A.Smith here. The main part of the trade is A.Green for A.Bryant... A.Bryant is better than Mason or Reggie Williams---agreed? I can go the rest of the way with Portis + backup and J.Jones + backup.... Please help with my decision! Also, which 2 of 3 RBs do I take in the trade out of: L.Jordan, J.Norwood, D.Williams? This is not a keeper league........redraft next year...lineups only good for current year. Thanks for the help and leave a link!
committmenttomediocrity 0 Posted October 28, 2006 Given your current personell the trade works for you for the reasons stated. A. Smith is a MUCH better backup and Bryant definetley gets the edge of the wrs. Please advise at http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=248553
Bpow0407 0 Posted October 28, 2006 All 3 RBs are in tough situations... no run game in OAK, Williams backing up injury prone Foster, and Norwood backing up the aging Dunn. If a Keeper league -- take Jordan and whichever back you think has a better chance of starting next year, they are about equal in future possibilities. If a redraft -- take Jordan and Williams, safer bets for this year. Thanks for your help.

philssteelers200 0 Posted October 28, 2006 Trade works well with what you've got, especially getting rid of the bye weeks soon, and trimming up the roster. I'd take Jordan and Williams. Thanks for mine.
the_whipping_boy 0 Posted October 28, 2006 You should do the trade, but take Jerious Norwood and D'Angelo Williams if you can. If you have to pick up Lamont Jordan, then take him and D'Angelo Williams. And thanks for answering my question.

Thanks for the help and leave a link! Absolutely do the trade, and take Jordan and Williams. When the inevitable DeShaun Foster injury happens, you'll have your second back.
