looking to add some strength to get to playoffs

Recommended Posts

I pretty much have my RB situation solved. I have KJ playing like a stud and j jones doing pretty well, then there always alexander waiting to come off that injury.

I have 3 QBs, dont need all of them, and i need more consistancy at WR still.

my team:

qb: vick, bulger, romo

WR: TO, toomer, stallworth, clayton

RB: KJ, J jones, alexander, perry, morris

TE: watson

K: anderson

DEF: min

ive been trying to deal bulger for #1 recievers but nobodys biting. I offered him 3 times i was rejeced once and the other 2 teams didnt do anything for over a week, i guess they dont want him. I feel I need another #1 reciever that is more consistant than TO for a run at the playoffs and a chance to win. im looking at harrision, wayne, although this is the guy that flat rejected my trade so id dont think he will trade him, s jax guys like that. holt is out, the guy that has him has quit. would an offer of bulger, or another QB and one of my recievers, not TO, be enough to get someone to bite?? how important is depth toward the end of the season? if i were to deal one of my recievers with a QB to get someone it would leave me pretty thin. a stud reciever is that last piece for me, i just dont have anybody thats consistant enough. also do you guys have any other sugestions of guys i could go after?? thanks.

Trading Bulger and someone like Toomer or Stallworth for a #1 WR is the way to go. Hopefully, you're not in one of those leagues where no one likes to trade.

I'd try the combo deal but giving up Bulger leaves you with a big dropoff at QB. Vick has shown he still cannot be trusted. Romo is the real deal but will still make some mistakes.

I'd say screw it and deal Alexander and Stallworth for a stud WR (Roy Williams, Andre Johnson, or Colston) and a decent RB (CTaylor, Gore, DeShaun Foster, Dillon, Dunn) Someone like that. Gives you depth at RB and gets you a stud WR - assuming someone has a combo like that on their roster.

Remember, there is no way to know what Alexander will be able to do when he comes back.

Toomer is done for the season...go check...So you will need to combo it up in order to get a good wr.

Suggestion: look for a team that has a need for a starting RB...and is weak at QB...deal Bulger and Morris for a WR(someone like a Burress, Ward, Houshyourmama)

ok i offered a trade to on of the teams last night. it was bulger for ward. he offered me one back. ward for j jones. heres the deal, I just got jones, traded boldin for him. if i trade him away it will really hurt my RB situation. I will be depending on KJ alone again to have a good week and although hes only let me down once, I really dont want to do that. hopefully alexander will be back in week 11 now, but i dont know what he will do. I do know im not ready to let him go though.

so what do you think? trade away J jones for ward and upgrade my WRs definitly but take a definite step down with the RBS??
