What is everyone's opinion of QB's with locks?

I have P. Manning and I am worried about the playoff sits. I am 3 games up and officially a lock for the playoffs.

 

Do I try to trade him away and if so for who?

 

I play 2 QBs and I have Delhomme and Leinhart as well and am not pleased with either prospect. I am also not certain that the guy with Brees is ready to trade but McNabb was available.

 

Is there any word from anyone on what to do? I did not have Peyton last year so I am not aware of how it went for owners.

Honestly, after what happen with the Colts last year they are sitting anyone. If anything they would sit them in the second half of the last game if they are up big.

 

I have Manning too and I thought about this problem as well. There is no way Dungy is going to do the same thing he did last year, it just made the team sloppy and unprepared for the Playoffs.

QBs: P. Manning, Delhomme, Leinhart

RBs LJ, C. Taylor, J. Addai, Betts and SA

WRs: Holt, A. Johnson, Muhammed and Edwards

TE: Witten

K: Stover

Def: SD

 

I am trying for Favre, Romo, etc.... any use in trying

Don't trade Peyton unless you benefit bigtime overall.. what owners typically do is they grab ww help or make a small trade for QB help to play them in week #17.. Now if they're up big in week 16 they'd prob. hook him, but only in a laugher.

 

I own him and need him to make the playoffs (i'm at 6-4 and have lost two straight). Right now Plummer, Green/Huard are on the ww and my backup is Pennington.. The Jets play Oakland at home week 17.. a so-so start.. so i may look into adding the other guys.. i don't have enough depth to deal for a Rivers, Romo, or a colder guy who may really help like a Delhomme.. so if i don't like Pennington for weeks 16/17, i'll use my last add/drop for a better option there.

 

Sounds like you're gonna go the trade route.. if you do deal him in a big deal, i'd wait until he throws for more td's against Dallas.. his value should always be high.. but after last week, the Favre's & Romos look like good options. wait 'til he goes off if you can.

This is something that worries me as well as I have Reggie Wayne, I'm thining about trading him now, I disagree with what everyone says about them not sitting, they will sit, not the entire game but Manning would play like 2 or 3 series them come out. Just enough to keep them sharp and not risk injury.

 

If I could get Brees and maybe something else in return i'd do it.
