Let's talk about Romo as a fantasy option

Recommended Posts

Payton had a good game plan in keeping him in the pocket. Parcells stated that maybe he is giving Romo a little too many options. He had posted back to back poor fantasy games. Do peopel think that teams are startign to key on his tendencies a bit? Do you plan on starting him (are you in the playoffs), and over who?

This is really killin me. Atlanta secondary is beat up, or last time i checked it was, and if Romo is truly a good player he will have to have a bounce back game. Im going to start him. He got me to the playoffs so i have to give him that. It makes my decision tougher with Eli's good week. Im going with Romo, he just cant fade out this quick.

I hear you. I have some tough decisions too. I started Kitna for most of the season and he has a good match-up, as does Favre who I have as well. But Romo has been my guy as of late and either one of those are good options.

I still have confidence in him. It's just frustrating that after the Turkey Day performance the drop off in fantasy production has been so drastic. If he doesn't put up decent (not great, just 2 TDs 250 passing yards) numbers against ATL I might sit him out for Hassleback.

I'm starting Kitna, much more reliable IMO if you don't get negative pts for INTs (I don't). It's a shame, too, because I was ready to ride Romo till the end. Don't trust him, though.

I think I would take Hasselbeck over Romo anyway (as long as he's healthy). He's more consistent in terms of TD passes. Romo's numbers may be a little skewed from the Lions game?

If you take a quick glance here:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/statistics?s...2&year=2006

You can see that Atl is actually much more favorable against the pass than NO. I think romo felt the pressure of a big game with NO and Payton seems to know Parcells well enough it worked out for him this week. I cant help but think he'll bounce back. Maybe the road will take some pressure off along with a scaled back offense. That doesnt scare me too much having watched him a few times this year. That kid is always looking for the big play he just tried to do too much this week. Im sticking with him for my superbowl.

Or do i go with Jeff "Assman" Garcia?

I'm starting Favre vs Detroit over Romo. D is a lot more worse against the pass than the ATL.

Kingstown, Hass is playing SF this week, I would think Hass would be a more solid start over a much better ATL team, esp in the playoffs where you'd like to see consistant performance. I'd like to know why you see Romo as a better option since Hass seems to be "back" and with SA looking good teams will have to respect the run.

Hass, Farve, Garcia and even Kitna are better options than I have over Romo.

My other QB is Vick :)

So no matter wich one I chose the other will probably go off against the others team.
