Niners_fan 0 Posted December 16, 2006 This is all I found on Maroney that is recent. Fanball: The News ESPN's John Clayton is reporting that there is a good chance that Patriots running back Laurence Maroney will miss his second straight game this week with a back injury. Corey Dillon would see the majority of the carries of Maroney can't play. Our View Dillon and the rest of the Patriots offense came up empty in Miami last week, but don't expect the same fate against the lowly Texans in week 15. Start Dillon if Maroney can't go. Doesn't look like he'll go and fantasy wise he's probably not a good start b/c you don't know how much he'll play or how effective he will be.
sly poppa 0 Posted December 16, 2006 He aint gonna play. And it isn't his back either. I saw the game and it looked like a helmet to the ribs. He was all upright and then BAM (madden) 3 lions helmets to the chest and didn't return. Showed him wincing on the sidelines holding his chest...

omarkal 0 Posted December 16, 2006 According to the Boston Herald, Laurence Maroney has torn cartilage in his rib cage and his status is uncertain for Sunday's game vs. Houston. Maroney, listed as questionable with a back injury, has said for the past two weeks that he feels fine and has been begging to play but reportedly wasn't cleared by Patriots medical staff before the team's Week 14 game. We're not counting on Maroney to play this week and we may not get a good read on his status for the rest of the season. Dec. 16 - 10:03 am et Source: Boston Herald Looks like rony maroney might be done for the season.
