If Chicago stumbles this week or next (not out of the question, given the loss of the interior of their defensive line), then New Orleans will have reason to be playing right through the end of the season. Additionally, Payton might just take it into his head to think of that as the ultimate feather in his cap after Parcells demoted him. Certainly any offensive accolades that the Saints reap speaks well of Payton's abilities to his former boss. Brees would have to average 350.3 yards per game over the last three games to tie the record. He is currently averaging 310.3.
