jdon 28 Posted March 2, 2007 potis and brown should be obvious keepers. I'd take maroney over jacobs... portis keeper value = top ten brown keeper value = top 12ish maroney keeper value = 15-20 jacobs keeper value = top 40?
Ray_T 628 Posted March 3, 2007 rank these 4 rbs , need 2 of 4 for keepers. C.Portis R. Brown L. Maroney B. Jacobs How I'd rank them would depend on what my team overall looks like. If you are a contender: you keep in this order: 1) portis 2) Brown 3) Maroney 4) Jacobs If you are not a contender, I'd try to work a deal where you trade away portis for a keeper who will help make a difference for you in the future. After all, Portis is at that age where he is only useful if you think you can win this year or next year. He may be good for one more after that, but I wouldnt bet on it. So if your team is not contending, you need to go with youth. In this situation you would keep Brown and Maroney and hopefully Portis gets traded for a top end QB who can help make you a contender or a young RB such as Reggie Bush so you can build for next year. You havnt really said how many keepers and what the rest of your team looks like, so I cant do the analysis of your team to determine what is best for you, but another option to consider if you keep 3 or more would be to keep all your top 3 RB's. In terms of value, this may allow you to trade one of them after the deadline for a player who you think helps you a lot.
