Can you and a buddy get together and both go into a ranked game? I know I have seen people who were obviously playing together, but we just tried and can't get in the same game.

Here are three easy steps:

 

1) Open your disk tray and remove GoW

 

2) Put in Halo 2

 

3) Curse Microsoft for making a great game but then focking up the online interface

 

Halo 2 was made 2 1/2 years ago and it is still the only game the makes full use of Live's capabilities. Microsoft lost out on a great opportunity by not implementing the Halo 2 party system into a game with so much potential like GoW.

Agreed. However, Halo 2 will not let you choose which game you want to play in ranked games. Team skirmish? Let me pick a game dillhole!
