Top Defs/TEs/Ks/Late Rnd Sleepers

Recommended Posts

We didn't pick Defenses or Kickers at all, TEs were lumped in with WRs, and we won't get to any late rnd players at the key skill positions.

Honestly don't care about kickers, so...

just a quick list of your top 3-5 of Ds/TEs (can add brief reasoning if you like)...then 1-2 of your late rnd sleepers/flyers at the skill positions (definitely would like some reasoning for these players).

TE

Gatees

The new Gonzo, consistently on top of ffers rankings.

Heap

If health becomes issue could bump down but if healthy and working with Mcnair (made Wycheck significant once upon a time or Smith (young qbs learn on TE)

Cooley

Amongst my real nice value picks. Came on late and think Campbell could lean on him too, particularly in rz

Crumpler

Good easily be 2 or 3 in my rankings, just concerned with Vick situation.

Gonzo

More running in KC, word of more recs for LJ, age has me knocking down Gonzo a bit, but he’s still Gonzo so rounds out my top5

DEF

Ravens

Bears

Don’t expect the Hester TDs, so if in league with DEF/ST pts combined, may knock down a bit more, but team is built on d and look at qbs they face twice: Favre (prone to INTs), Kitna (due to system can be prone to INTs too), Vikes (new/young QB)

Bolts

Another solid D and another nod for qbs they face: Cutler (many like him but still a 2nd year qb that will make mistakes), Raiders QB, KC QB (whoever)

Of course that’s for what it’s worth…after those Ds off the board I’m looking at easy matchups early then hunting the ww during season.

LATE/LATER RND PICKS

Michael Bennett/Michael Turner/Rams b/up RB

Turner will like by more expensive, then Bennett then Rams b/up but this is based on my ‘heavy workload’ research: has LT/LJ/Sjax targeted as candidates for down years. Turner is likely the best candidate weighing cost and return as Bennett/whoever Rams b/up ends up being will likely be mired in RBBC if main guy was to go down.

Michael Bush

May even be too deep for a redraft draft, but definitely worth consideation in keeper/dynasty drafts, as likely may not do much/anything THIS year (slim chance he could but doubt it). Could be a real nice pick to stash away though for future seasons, as think Raiders finally made a solid move considering future of franchise. Very good numbers in college before major injury this past season.
