Franknbeans 46 Posted July 3, 2007 Hey guys, In a rare turn of events we are looking for our first team owner outside of our established circles. I figured I would try here first because well, I'm desperate. No seriously, I played against a few of you last year in another league run by a crook and thought one of you would like another chance to experience an honest fantasy football league. Our league has been in existence for over 10 years. Here's the deal, 10 teams, 4 player keeper league. Entry fee is $30.40. We only pay out for 3 positions, 1st place overall points (50%), 2nd place overall points (20%) and Superbowl champion (30%), Conceivably, the maximum amount you can win is $169.60 (80% of the pot - entry fee) by finishing 1st overall and winning the Superbowl. I know, small potatoes. The scoring system we use is a bit unconventional in that the scores are usually higher on average than standard scoring leagues. We award 2 pts per reception and start 1 QB, 2 RB's, 3 WR's, 1 K and 1 D. A really good scoring week is 200 pts and our league champ last season averaged 189.9 points per week. This year, for the first time, we are leaning towards drafting on-line at a yet to be determined date and time. I understand this may not be a league for everyone but if you want to be challenged then this is a formidable one. One other important note... We lost 2 owners from last year so there will be two teams up for ownership. One of the two teams features LT and Steven Jackson. Ron Paul for President 2008 0 Posted July 3, 2007 With only 10 teams...that is a very small roster which requires ZERO skill to draft, everyone will have a roster full of potential pro-bowlers, the only thing left now is LUCK, thats it, pure and simple luck...who gets hurt, who doesnt...LUCK With 10 teams you should have a MINIMUM of 2 QBs, 4 WRs, 3 RBs, 2TEs, throw in some IDPs, ect... Let peoples experience guide them when making crucial picks such as picking up that 3rd QB and screwing over a league member, or taking that 4th WR you need to start every week... I'm just letting you know you are playing a league that requires ZERO skill... What if no one ever told Michael Jordan to stop playing basketball with the white kids? I'm simply telling you, not just for fantasy football purposes but for life, try something challenging for a change instead of always going to easy route, you might be good at it.
