SUX, you focking poosay

Recommended Posts

So I need a new carb. The one I have on the truck right now just isn't gonna let me pass emissions :music_guitarred:

thinking of getting a 4bb instead of this sh1tty 2bb I have on here.

Also, the reason for the 4wheel drive.... yeah, rear end is blown...

basically I'm in 4hi and driving a front wheel truck right now.

would probably be cheaper junking the focker and getting a new truck, but a part of me says "look in junk lots for a rear end and buy a used 4bb manifold and carb for a ford 302.

what says you? or any of you other geeks?

When my car wouldn't pass emissions in Colorado, I went across the border to Nebraska and registered it at my old address. Then changed my insurance back to Colorado without re-registering. It's against the law, but you won't get a ticket unless you're stupid. Plus, your tags are legal.

I was thinking about driving the focker till Jan 2nd without new tags....

yeah, if I get pulled over, I get a ticket, but I don't drive it over 55, and always right at the speed limit on all other roads, so unless a cop was directly behind me staring at my license plate (which if they're right behind me, they will), then there would be no reason for me to get pulled over.

I wonder, if someone crashed into me, would my insurance still cover me even though it's not registered? of would that make insurance null and void?

Doesn't affect your insurance at all. You can drive without tags but watch out for cops. Usually they won't even notice your tags are expired, even if they're driving right behind you.

The only reason they'd pull you over for that infraction (in general) is if you're driving late at night and they need a reason to pull you over and give you a sobriety test.

Cops have bigger fish to fry unless you run into some guy with a stick up his ass.

yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking.

Even if you do get a ticket, it will probably be for $80. Which I'm sure is a hell of a lot less than getting your truck to pass emissions will be.

You're welcome, jackass.

Honestly, ditch the truck.

Blown up rear end & Carb problems on an old Bronco? :shocking:

Also after you get the carb on, I will almost guarantee you that you will be chasing vacuum leaks forever to try and get it smogged.

Used Toyota

Here in California, they look for the expired tags as an excuse to pull you over.

The one time I let mine go I got pulled over 3 times in a month for it. (I was real broke at the time)

I don't know how they are in Wash. Ask mmbeer. (If you ever see him again)

How the fock can no tags = no insurance?

Insurance is private. Paid by private citizens to private companies to cover them. If you pay for insurance and get in a wreck, I don't see how your insurance doesn't have to cover it. Regardless the status of your registration.

You insure the car not the driver.

No tags = No insurance.

There is nothing to insure.

And don't even think about taking tage from 1 car to another.

And if you get caught, they charge you a per diem for uninsured as well as fine, etc.

so either sell it to someone who intends to make an off road 4x4 with it, or drive it till it dies on the side of the road, then light it on fire after I grind down the vin # and take off the expired plates?
