kilroy69 1,251 Posted August 7, 2007 They offered him a boatload of yankee stuff and season tickets but people are saying that its worth like 35-40k. A-Rod has said that he wants it. It seems like a no brainer. A-Rod makes 25 mil a year. Pay the guy 30k and give him season tickets for 5 years. Its your hall of fame ball and you know you want it. You make enough money to spend on something that is a part of your history ,something that will only go up in value anyway. At worst spend more than you wanted but you get what you want. And the guy is a lifelong yankee fan.
p.man 7 Posted August 8, 2007 I'd keep it. I wouldn't take anything A.Rod or the Yankees or MLB offered.
Big_Pete 0 Posted August 8, 2007 I'd sell it for $100k (mantles 500th sold for $149,000. use that as a reason) and season tickets pre-paid for 5 years, and then naturally, you get to keep the rights to those tickets so after that 5 years, you can keep them. plus autographed stuff from him. $100k to a-rod is the equivalent of that dude buying a nice romantic dinner for his girlfriend. if you want the ball so much, pay the man. ARod has no "right" to the ball, he needs to remember that. I still can't stand baseball, but I"m still gonna give my 2¢ about this subject
