ir0nchef 0 Posted September 1, 2007 14Teams/.5PPR/6TDS Did I make this team better? Started with: QB- Jon Kitna WR- Reggie Wayne WR- Reggie Brown WR- Mark Clayton RB- LaDainian Tomlinson RB- Cedric Benson TE- Bo Scaife K- Matt Stover DST- Minnesota BN- Brandon Jacobs BN- D.J. Hackett BN- Kevin Curtis BN- Alex Smith BN- Jerry Porter I made the following moves: 1. Dropped Porter for James Jones (should I drop him for Turner) 2. Traded Jacobs for Steve Smith 3. Traded Clayton/Curtis for DWill/Cotchery New team: QB- Jon Kitna WR- Steve Smith WR- Reggie Wayne WR- Reggie Brown RB- LaDainian Tomlinson RB- Cedric Benson TE- Bo Scaife K- Matt Stover DST- Minnesota BN- DeAngelo Williams BN- D.J. Hackett BN- Cotchery BN- Alex Smith BN- James Jones Thanks!
JRWAGS99 0 Posted September 1, 2007 I think you dod pretty good. whoever traded you Steve Smith straight up for Brandon Jacobs is an idiot. All in all you look pretty solid. See mine please
ThatAlexGuy 0 Posted September 1, 2007 The Porter for James trade was not really that signifigant, considering Porter is going to have a rookie QB under helm and James is a rookie, so that one is pretty decent. The Jacobs for Smith trade, in my opinion, was great. Don't get me wrong, Jacobs is probably going to have a great season, but I just can't see Smith not having another breakout season with Dellohme back. And I'm just going to guess you say Clayton as in the RB for BAL, and Curtis as in the WR for PHI. I think you made out pretty good on that one, considering that one of the Carolina backs is probably going to shine, and you gotta a pretty good chance, and Cotchery is probably going to have a season either similar to last year or just a little under, and even at that, that would be great. paul revere 0 Posted September 1, 2007 You did damn good with that one. Smith for Jacobs was a steal but getting deangelo might end up being even bigger.
Poloc2289 0 Posted September 1, 2007 Your starting team is better after making those deals but I think your bench is worse. You really don't have a backup RB because I don't really like D-Will nor his situation. He had a terrible preseason. But the starters are what counts so good luck
ullloveit 0 Posted September 1, 2007 WOW. Hard to believe this is a 14 team league. This team would be solid in a 10 man league. Nice job, Mine please http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=283387
tazman01 0 Posted September 2, 2007 Very solid team, but better after your trades as much as I like Jacobs and grabbed him in my league, I like you getting Smith.
mrgymrat 0 Posted September 2, 2007 Like limburger cheese hats, the $teve $mith for Jacobs deal was brilliant! 1. DeAngelo will emerge as the back in CAR 2. I like Jacoby Jones better than James 3. Yes, I would add Turner as insurance because if LT does go down, Turner will be just as huge (I have both) ---- Thx for answering mine
ir0nchef 0 Posted September 2, 2007 alright, this is my new roster: QB- Jon Kitna WR- Steve Smith WR- Reggie Wayne WR- Reggie Brown RB- LaDainian Tomlinson RB- Cedric Benson TE- Bo Scaife K- Matt Stover DST- Minnesota BN- DeAngelo Williams BN- D.J. Hackett BN- Cotchery BN- Alex Smith BN- Micheal Turner am I ok at RB? Selvin Young and Chatman are available, but I don't think I have anyone to drop. YoMan 0 Posted September 2, 2007 Thanks for answering mine. I think you did great. 1. Dropped Porter for James Jones (should I drop him for Turner) I have not heard the extent of Driver's injury but Jones could be a big pick up. If Driver is okay I would definitely pick up Turner. 2. Traded Jacobs for Steve Smith That was a great trade for you. As long as Smith stays healthy you got a top 3 receiver. 3. Traded Clayton/Curtis for DWill/Cotchery I actually like this because D Will could be the starter and the other guys were going to ride your bench most of the season. When all is said and done Cotchery could put up better numbers than both Clayton and Curtis. Good Luck!
whatadai 0 Posted September 2, 2007 I would've rather had Porter than James. You could've easily started Cotchery as your WR #3, you didn't need Smith with both Reggie Brown and Reggie Wayne. Porter makes a good WR #4. Jacobs was great depth to your RB and now your depth is gone. Fosters going to be the Panther's starter for the whole year. Unless he gets injured. Better cross your fingers on that.
