raisedbywolves 0 Posted September 17, 2007 i realize now is probably the best time to strike and buy low on the (what were believed to be before now) top 3 stud backs in the league, with disappointing performances by all of them so far. personally, i'd most like to have lt, as i still think he'll get it going soon ... s-jax, i know he's talented, but the o-line injuries scare me off and he really hasn't shown much so far, and lj's the least desirable on my list, as kc is just in shambles right now, but i still wouldn't mind having him as long as i don't give up too much for him. so, help me try and formulate a trade (my lineup in signature) and based on the teams of their owners. lt's owner: qb: tony romo, philip rivers rb: ladainian tomlinson, cedric benson, chris brown, mike bell wr: torry holt, lee evans, bernard berrian, santana moss, ronald curry te: l.j. smith, owen daniels d/st: broncos d/st, dolphins d/st k: robbie gould s-jax's owner: qb: tom brady rb: steven jackson, thomas jones, lamont jordan, derrick ward, sammy morris wr: roy williams, javon walker, wes welker, donte stallworth, vincent jackson, drew carter te: jeremy shockey, dallas clark d/st: patriots d/st k: jason hanson lj's owner: qb: david garrard, matt hasselbeck rb: larry johnson, travis henry, ahman green, ronnie brown, julius jones, jerious norwood, vernand morency wr: darrell jackson, hines ward, jerricho cotchery, greg jennings te: daniel graham d/st: jaguars d/st k: matt stover i'd like to be able to manage a trade without involving gore, chad johnson, marvin harrison, or antonio gates if possible, so keep that in mind, but if the only conceivable way you can think of to net me one of them is to include one of those players, then do it up. thanks! will reply to yours too. Michael123 0 Posted September 17, 2007 I would target LJ's owners because he needs WR and you are strong there. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=288257
raisedbywolves 0 Posted September 17, 2007 yeah, i've tried before and the guy's either a total jerk or a total idiot and wouldn't really listen to me. i think he autodrafted and ended up with like 8 running backs and terrible receivers and he still thinks he's in good shape somehow. aggiewildlife 0 Posted September 17, 2007 I'd avoid LJ like the plague. Plus, his team is the only one with enough RB depth right now to afford being patient with LJ, so I think he'd be the least likely to want to trade him. The LT owner seems like the one who may be most desperate since his other RB's suck. He could use some help at WR as well since some of his guys haven't been performing up to par. I would not trade Gore at all. The problem is that I find that owners of these 3 players will be very unlikely to ever trade these guys. But if it were up to me, I'd try to offer the Tomlinson owner some package involving Peterson (while he's hot) and maybe Braylon Edwards who just had a huge game. That might appeal to his need for immediate production at RB and WR. I still think it's a long shot. You'd probably need to include more than those 2 players. Good luck. Please see mine, thanks. raisedbywolves 0 Posted September 17, 2007 yeah, i think i'd have to probably offer him peterson, boldin, and edwards or something like that just to pry lt off of him, which i can probably do since i have pretty good depth at receiver already and despite the fact i've have a weak 3rd back in foster, i think having gore and lt every week alongside harrison and chad johnson would pretty much mean me decimating everyone, haha. philodocious 0 Posted September 17, 2007 If you are gonna do it, the opportunity is with LJ's owner. Offer AP with a WR. BUT, do you really want to do this anyway? Thanks for mine
raisedbywolves 0 Posted September 17, 2007 hahaha, i sorta do. i just like the thought of having lt/gore, s-jax/gore, lj/gore and harrison/ocho/gates ... i don't think anyone could beat me at that point, so, i dunno. i like peterson, but i dunno if he's really a stud number 2 back yet. i've been trying to work out trades to get a better third back to replace foster at the flex spot or for bye weeks a la lamont jordan or edge or whatever, but nothing's worked so far, so i figure maybe i should just upgrade peterson and just go harrison/ocho cinco/calvin johnson or something like that instead. I am trying to go after SJAX myself. I think he is going to be a beast, but now is the time to buy. I think he will start heating up, then explode. But you will probably have to give up someone of significant value to get him. Gates is the best way to do so, and I will try and dangle him myself. Sure he is incredible, but an incredible Sjax is more valuable. raisedbywolves 0 Posted September 17, 2007 well, the guy with s-jax already has shockey and dallas clark, i don't know if gates would be of huge value to him, plus i really like having gates around.
whiteknight 0 Posted September 17, 2007 I would go afer SJAX also, but I think you will haev a better chance trying to get LJ. He has a ton of RB talent, and could really use help with the WR. I don't know why he is being such a jerk about it..
raisedbywolves 0 Posted September 17, 2007 yeah, i don't know really. he obviously auto-drafted and his team came out mildly terrible in my opinion, but he still acts like his team is primed to win the championship. i think i have a much better chance than him as my team is really well-balanced overall aside from me lacking a great third back or an elite qb (but i think my quarterback by committee will work out well).
