dpbuddha 9 Posted September 19, 2007 So Romo went off in week 1 as we all know as did Roethlisberger. They both slowed down in week 2 and the Cowboys go up against the Bears IN Chicago as the Steelers host the 49ers. Both defenses are looking good against the pass so far but I just don't know who has the upper hand this week. What do you all think?
cdavidw 0 Posted September 19, 2007 I think Romo can overcome a good defense better than B-Ro can. Also, Chicago's D got banged up quite a bit in week 1, so maybe I give the edge to Romo. Thanks for getting mine!
dpbuddha 9 Posted September 19, 2007 Oh, and should we give any extra bonus to the Cowboys this week since they just signed Tank Johnson? (Inside info?)
Cal_Fan_AG 0 Posted September 19, 2007 I'm always leary about starting players against the Chi D. I'm more likely to start Big Ben this week, but then again, I prob would have started him in Week 1 too, and look how that would have turned out.
nategraduates 0 Posted September 19, 2007 Tony Romo has a plethora of weapons at his disposal, the Cowboys can't really run the ball anyways in the first half with Julius Jones. So Da Boys will be looking to attack the weaker Bears secondary with T.O, Jason Witten, Crayton, and Hurd. I expect Romo to be able to put up some yardage, though I think MBIII might steal some TD's from him this week. Big Ben has some nice weapons as well, with a better running game than The Cowboys and a less formidable defense he should be able to put up some numbers as well. I just can't imagine how he can get 300 yards and 3 td's again with Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes, and Heath Miller. It is a pretty close start/sit question, they are both good plays but... I'd play Romo against the Bears, he has shown that he can put up the big numbers with the weapons around him right now and he and the Cowboys are red hot offensively to start the season. Until that slows down I would ride any of the Cowboy 4 (Romo,T.O,MBIII,Witten) to the ground or at least until they slow down a bit and start stalling on offense, because right now they are moving the ball at will and did it against a pretty good defense in Miami last week. drewznot 0 Posted September 19, 2007 you gotta go with the hot hand in Romo, CHI Def is weaker without Brown please reply to mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=288725
bgia13 0 Posted September 19, 2007 I'd also go with Romo. Although Big Ben might be more consistent, he'll most likely put up only 1 or 2 td's a week. Romo has more of a chance for big games and I think with his hot start he could keep it going.. even against the Bears D.

SirJiggabins 0 Posted September 19, 2007 Wow...everybody going with Romo! Thats surprising. I wouldn't say this is an easy call at all, but I would go with Big Ben. Chicago's D is no joke and they are at home. So far Dallas has played at home against the Giants and on the road against the sorry-ass dolphins. Of course Romo was going to have big games. Bulger went for 368 yards against the niners last week. I see Ben going for 250+ and 2 TDs minimum. If you think Romo will do better than that on the road against the bears, then by all means start him.
