ramblin'wreck 0 Posted September 22, 2007 Who shoul I have as a back up QB to fill in when my Romo is on a bye week (or get injured, knocking on wood)? Rex Grossman or David Garrard Thanks!
Geohound 0 Posted September 22, 2007 Well the Cowboys' bye is Week 8, in which Grossman plays the Lions at home and Garrard plays the Bucs in Tampa. So between the two, Grossman looks like the better play as of now, before injuries and developments become involved. But Rexy isn't looking to hot right now, I'd probably rather have Garrard as the better FF backup in case. Other match-ups of interest in Week 8, if we're going to look so far ahead at the moment: Cleveland Browns at St. Louis Rams - Derek Anderson, or possibly Brady Quinn, could be a very beneficial FA pickup that week. Buffalo Bills at New York Jets - the Jets defense is lacking up front and in the secondary, which means JP Losman will continue to have success against them. If the Jets finally make the smart move and start the best QB on the roster, Kellen Clemens, he might be worth a look too with his strong arm and a young/inexperienced Bills defense. New York Giants at Miami Dolphins - this is the London game, I wonder how dealing with that will affect both teams. Nonetheless, Trent Green could be in the thick of things by then offensively, and the Giants secondary is even more of a liability than ever before.
JazzyJeff30 0 Posted September 22, 2007 Wow are those the only choices you have to choose from? There has to be someone better on the WW than that. If i had to choose from them though i would go with Garrard. 1. I dont think Grossman will have his job much longer. 2. The running game of the Jags hasnt been steller. But its really a coin flip there. Good luck. Thanks for mine.
wggierhart 0 Posted September 22, 2007 I gotta say, I like Garrard. Especially because he'll probably do some damage on the ground.
