MattG2103 0 Posted September 22, 2007 Here's my squad: peyton bulger mcgahee cadillac jordan deangelo c. brown t.o. muhammad porter jennings kennison burleson witten ... and a bunch of IDPs I offered an owner Cadillac for Reggie Wayne. He rejected thinking it wasn't enough. I think he might accept LaMont Jordan (it's a keeper league and Jordan's salary is $9). I clearly need another every week wide-out (i spent all my auction money on Peyton and running backs)... Should I offer this, or is Jordan's value over the course of the year more than Wayne's? 6 pt. TDs 0.5 pt. per reception 1 pt for 10 yds run/pass

Cmoney22 0 Posted September 23, 2007 Hmm, how may RB's do you play a week? This is a toughie, but with it being PPR, Wayne should definately be the bigger player at the end of the season unless 1 thing, imo. Jordan has seen some receptions, so if he is utilized in the passing game more he will be huge. If you could wait like 1 more week and see how Jordan does, that is what I would do. If you lose him your RB's look pretty weak relying on Caddie. I think you could find a WR on the WW or on your team that has a good matchup almost every week. Im not in a PPR league so Im not sure how that affects the points that much. It is just hard to trust Lamont after last year and considering he is on the Raiders. I think it really depends on how many of each player you play, so if you give that info it would be better.
wggierhart 0 Posted September 23, 2007 I love Reggie Wayne even more than I love Lamont. Try to get Wayne, especially with Lamonts lingering back issues.
vwneogeovw 0 Posted September 23, 2007 Why not target another WR other than Wayne. Maybe a Donald Driver or Roy Williams? Try and unload Caddy and hold onto Jordan. I think Lamont is in store for a 2005-esque repeat performance. Plus with you getting PPR's, Lamont's value is very high. He is the #1 RB in PPR leagues. I personally think Jordan is more valuable than Wayne in a PPR format seeing that RB's that arent in a RBBC and catch the ball out of the backfield are much more rare than a WR of Wayne's caliber. I see 1200 yds, 40-50 receptions and around 10 TD's for Jordan. Target an owner who is really hurting at the RB position, and try and trade Caddy for one of his better WR's. You definitely need WR help, but if you give up Lamont, ur RB situation is considerably less impressive and dependable. McGahee/Jordan is light years better a combo than McGahee/Caddy as ur every week starters. MattG2103 0 Posted September 23, 2007 I start at least 2 backs, and can start as many as 4. There are 2 flex rb/wr/te spots along with 2 rb and 3 wr spots. So I'm stuck picking between scrub wide-outs like Muhammad, Porter, and Burleson on a week-to-week basis. Do you guys think LaMont can keep this pace up? I feel like I'm selling high here and potentially getting a steal in Wayne - who should be a top-5/top-10 wide-out. Yeah, my RB depth will take a big hit, but my WR depth is pathetic. I have no number 2 and a bunch of no. 3/no. 4 types (and I must start at least 3). Keep the opinions coming. I'll answer yours.
wessel1313 0 Posted September 23, 2007 I would give up Jordan for Wayne. Jordan has been a stud so far, but the Raiders will not continue. I think Caddy will have a decent year and will be a capable flex player for you. The weakness at WR will ultimately be a downfall. I like to think about playing to win it all and I don't think you can with your current WR. JazzyJeff30 0 Posted September 23, 2007 I absolutely LOVE Wayne. But with your team i dont think you can afford to lose Jordan. I think he will be a consistant performer all year.
