Who knows a lot about running shoes?

Recommended Posts

Mrs. DaveBG is a runner and really there is no such thing as a "good running shoe". There are "bad running shoes" and "running shoes that are good for you", but no such thing as a running shoe that is good for everyone.

It all depends on your own foot and how you walk/run. Different types of support, different types of soles...they are all factors to consider when choosing a running shoe. If you're serious about it, my advice is to go to a running store and get fitted. You should also bring in your old sneakers, as a knowledgeable salesperson will be able to look at the wear of the soles and be able to steer you in the right direction.

Of course, if you're just looking to do 20-30 min on a treadmill a few times/week, then you're probably not going to care that much and can just go w/any of the big names...Nike, NB, Asics...
