wiffleball 4,796 Posted October 15, 2007 This expression - used as a precedent to any comment or response - may be up for "most overused phrase of the new century". Not sure if it's a northern thing or what, but damn, whether it's sports, entertainment, news - you name it, I must've heard it 100 times this weekend alone. "Ya Know, I was going to go into work this weekend..." "Ya know, I just take it one play at a time..." "Ya know, it's the little things in life...." It's the new "basically". It adds nothing to the sentence. Anybody here do this? I catch myself doing it, and I'm like WTF? Of course they don't know, if they knew, you wouldn't be saying this!
