Beaker101 0 Posted October 25, 2007 I've been offered Brandon Jacobs and Calvin Johnson (filler) for Reggie Wayne. I was thinking of countering with Wayne straight up for Steven Jackson. What do you think of either of these trades? Any input is appreciated, and willing to answer your questions too. Thanks. chrisfab 0 Posted October 25, 2007 Personally, I would do it. You have some issues at RB, and I think you will sleep better at night knowing you have Jacobs, who plays on a great offensive team with a great offensive line. I am not sold on S. Jackson yet. He had quite a tear in his groin, and I would like to see some production out of him and his team first. Barring WR injury, you are set with your starters in Steve Smith and B. Edwards. I look at it like this: you are trading some WR depth for a clear starting RB. I am not sure KJ is a starter every week(he just came back from injury as well). please help me: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=298090
Michael123 0 Posted October 25, 2007 I would do it too. You have two great WRs already but some big question marks at RB. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=298104
pom 0 Posted October 25, 2007 I'm big on Jacobs, but I'm also big on Wayne. This is a tough call. I don't think you are as bad as it looks at RB (Addai and Watson are pretty solid). And with the way STL offense is this year, I think you would be on the bad end if you traded Wayne straight up for SJ. I'd stick with you guns on this one. I might actually try to use Steve Smith as trade bait instead of Wayne... if you could try that. Just a thought.

Wayne, as we know, is a pimp and his value is greater than Steven Jackson, you should try to get more.
hotfootteddy 0 Posted October 25, 2007 I like the original trade too. Calvin Johnson as a throw-in has some potential. So far, I think he's scored a TD on 20% of his touches - unfortunately he's only had 15 touches. You are hobbling along at RB and I'd be concerned about bringing on another player returning from injury in SJax. My only concern with this is that from now on you'll be relying on Steve Smith, and with Carr at QB that might be a risky option. Wayne is more of a guaranteed week-in week-out performer. Do you think the other guy would make the same deal for Smith?
Beaker101 0 Posted October 25, 2007 Jeez, I answered at least 10 different posts while requesting that they answer mine in return, and I only got 5 replies so far. What happened to the others I helped?? I thought it was a give and take deal in this forum?? Come on guys, some help please, I'll answer yours in return. p.s. Thanks to those who kept your side of the bargain by providing input

Your team can stand the hit on the top part of the WR corps and you get a nice WR to keep up depth. (Is your league a keeper one? if so, even better.) Jacobs is starting to put up good numbers and NYG just took him off the injury report according to Rotoworld, so he's healthy, too. So you improve a weak spot and don't overly compromise a strong area. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=297936
jmkratt 0 Posted October 25, 2007 Thanks for helping me. If it were me I'd do the 2nd trade but try and get more, I see Wayne as a better value than Jackson straight up. The problem is who to throw in? I don't know if you'll be able to without tossing someone else in. Is there anyone else you could throw in for one of his WRs? I don't like the 1st trade as much right now in the season. What has CJ done yet, not much, but that could change. Good luck
bunnerjk 0 Posted October 25, 2007 I like the original trade, you have plenty of good WR's. Don't do it for SJax unless he offers a little more to it!!!!!
