Apollyon 0 Posted December 13, 2007 OK, so as the #4 seed I'm up against the highest scorer in the league. My roster is in the sig and I feel fairly confident (except for perhaps my #3 WR), but I need to figure out which 2 RBs to start. Willie Parker (vs JAC) Kevin Jones (at SD) Selvin Young (at HOU) Travis Henry (at HOU) Fred Jackson (at CLE) Normally I would start Parker without thinking twice, but on Heinz field vs the Jags I'm a little hesitant. Jones looked great last week when Martz decided that running the football is actually important, and Merriman is out for SD. Young is clearly getting the carries over Henry, but the RBBC factor still makes me nervous. Ditto with Jackson vs a bad Cleveland run defense. My brain tells me to go with Parker and Jones, but my gut tells me Jones and Young. Any advice is much appreciated. Leave a link and I'll respond to yours. CptLeech 0 Posted December 13, 2007 Parker has a tough match up but you just can't bench him. For #2 I would go with Young over Jones in a heartbeat. He will get the majority of the carries plus he is from Houston and is pumped to play in front of friends and family. Don't be fooled by Jones one good game. see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=306007
NYsportster 0 Posted December 13, 2007 I feel the same way. Cant sit parker, I dont care who he is up against. He is to good to sit. As the #2 I would also go with Young, he has been putting up big number and is clearly the starter, has a great matchup this week also. PTAKBuCS 0 Posted December 13, 2007 I would go with Parker and Young. KJ on the road is scary. Good luck. Please see mine --> http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=306013
Snotpipes 0 Posted December 13, 2007 Parker (don't overthink this one, he's a stud regardless) and Young (more upside with a better matchup than the rest of your options). http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=305980
Lamb of God 15 Posted December 13, 2007 Thanks for mine. You have to play Parker no matter the matchup and then go with Young who has a better matchup and upside than Jones.
enricopulazzo 0 Posted December 13, 2007 Even with the tough matchup, I would still play Parker. He's a threat to break one at any time, even against JAX. I am also struggling with Young and that RBBC in DEN. But compared to the other options you have at RB, I would still roll the dice with Young. He is playing in his hometown on prime time, so he should aim to please...his local fans and hopefully fantasy owners, too. Good luck. thanks for mine!
