Projection Pal - Mac Issue

Recommended Posts

I am getting the following error when hitting new query in the Projection Pal in Microsoft Excel:

Runtime error '438'

Object doesn't support this property or method

Clicking the Debug button highlights:

Sub Import Projections:

Preserve Formatting = True

Any ideas? I am not running the new version of Office, so I'm pretty sure it is not that...

I didn't have this problem last year, because I didn't use the Projection Pal, but this year, I've got a lot more time to spend prepping for my draft.

Oh, and the site I was importing from:

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/2008/currentproj-qb.php

Thanks.

Hi chuckie. Some of those query functions/options are finicky which versions of Excel and operating system they work in. However I would have thought by now we would have figured out all the nuances. If the error is highlight that piece of the code though, then that is probably the issue. Comment out just that line of code by putting a single quote ( ' ) in front of it, like this:

' Preserve Formatting = True

Then run the macro again and see if that works. Please report back and let us know.

Alternatively, you can use copy/paste to get the data into Projection Pal and skip the query steps.
