FantFreak22 0 Posted August 29, 2008 I am struggling whether to start Cutler week 1 with Marshall suspended or to go with Garrard. Denver faces Oakland. Jacksonville plays Tennessee. Both away games. From what I can tell, Oakland and Ten both have about the same difficulty with regards to pass defenses. Please let me know your thoughts on why you believe. I had sixth pick in a 10 man league. QB TD's are 4 points. 1 point for every 25 yards passing. Below is my team: > 1. Marion Barber RB > 2. Terrell Owens WR > 3. Steve Smith WR > 4. Thomas Jones RB > 5. Brandon Marshall WR > 6. Calvin Johnson WR > 7. Jay Cutler QB > 8. Matt Forte RB > 9. DeAngelo Williams RB > 10. David Garrard QB > 11. Josh Morgan WR > 12. Vincent Jackson WR > 13. Owen Daniels TE > 14. New York DEF > 15. Rob Bironas K Thanks!
Fearsome 22 Posted August 29, 2008 I like Garrard...Jax has a better running game (for now!) Let's see how Cutler reacts health wise with his diabetes. I have a hunch on Garrard for the entire season anyway. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=320581
Groundhog 24 Posted August 29, 2008 It's a solid team, especially once Clumsy McWhopper gets back from suspension, as does Smith. I like both Garrard and Cutler this year, but would start Garrard in week 1 - who is Cutler going to throw to? Royal? Please. I love, love, love the Deangelo Williams pick - cannot believe he lasted until round 9. He went early in the 5th round in my 12-teamer, before I could get him. One minor quibble, I think Forte was a bit of a reach in the 8th round, simply because that offense is going to be atrocious. However chances are you'd never choose to start him anyway, except for a bye week.
Belushi 9 Posted August 29, 2008 I'd say Garrard. With Marshall out and Oakland's bad run D, expect allot of Selvin Young and Andre Hall. Tenn has a tough D, but the Jax D should be able to shut down their offence, giving Garrad plenty of opportunities.
FantFreak22 0 Posted September 1, 2008 I agree that I didn't really want Forte. We'll see how he finishes the year. Sounds like most are leaning towards Garrard then???
