just got done draft, 12 teamer

Recommended Posts

12 team league, PPR, 6 pt td/10 yard pt rush and rec, 4 pt td/20 yard pt pass

QB: brees (3)

RB: tomlinson (1), jones-drew (2) / k smith (7), f taylor (8), r johnson (12)

WR: jennings (4), bowe (5), coles (6) / mason (9), stallworth (10), gage (13)

TE: lj smith (11)

DEF: titans (15)

K: reed (14)

obviously a pretty weak WR corps. i had the first overall pick, and was all ready to go WR-RB with picks 2 and 3, but fitzgerald, edwards and marshall all went right before me leaving colston and burress as the best wr's remaining. i thought at this point that brees was probably a better value than them, so i went for him and MJD. i could have come up with some rb's with higher upside late in the draft when i took rudi, but i liked the idea of having both the jags and lions rb situations on lockdown. i thought fred taylor was a really good value at 8.12, as was kevin smith at 7.1.

thoughts on this draft and the team's chances would be appreciated, i'm bored. leave link, will answer yours.

I'd definitely start Kevin Smith this week.

Brees was a good pick up. I'm a Saints fan so I might be biased, but I think this is going to be his best year. The running situation with Stecker, Bush, Pierre Thomas, and Deuce back should keep a lot open for him, and now he's got a good TE to throw to (and the Saints offense uses TE a lot). I think you can start him all year with great success. Even if the team loses, he will put up monster numbers. Expect 4000 yds and at least 30 tds for the season.

LT is obviously a stud that won't disappoint.

At WR I don't think you're too bad. I think Rodgers and Jennings will have good chemistry, better than Favre/Driver. Plus Coles is going to be a monster with Favre throwing to him. Bowe should be decent, but i don't think he'll do as well as some people think.

Good luck.

With Tomlinson and Brees you definitely got a good start. You are deep at RB but thin at WR. I would think about trading MJD and something you can get rid of for a good WR.

Yup WR core is pretty weak. Alot of inexperienced QB's throwing to your WR's. I like your RB's though. Can't go wrong playing MoJo and Fred together, i think
