bblank1975 0 Posted September 7, 2008 Hey All, please rate my squad, because I am happy with this team (drafting 10th in a 12 team league). League starts 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 2 IDPs and a WR/RB Flex. Getting mixed reviews. QBs Garrard, Delhomme RBs Lynch, Turner, Young, Ricky Williams, Jason Wright, Fred Jackson WRs R. Moss, S. Holmes, D. Driver, C. Henry, E. Royal TE Witten K Crosby, Vinatieri DEF Beason, Harris (NYJ) Some think I have too many risks. I am ok with criticism, but think my upside is solid. I usually don't take 2 ks, but they were my last two picks So I think more than just having 2 solid Ks, I took one from someone else. Value in the 18th round is slim. My question for lineup is do I start R. Williams or Young at Flex, and Do I start Driver over Holmes as WR2? I use this sight for my pre-draft projections and weekly and was surprised to see a 4 pt difference projected between Holmes and Driver. I am currently starting Holmes and Young. wbethea 0 Posted September 7, 2008 Thanks for the advice. I think your team is solid. The QB position is the true risky spot, Garrard will not wow you but he will get you some pts. Delhomme is risky of course coming off injury and no Smith for the beginning of the year so hopefully Jake doesnt get hurt before Smith's return because then I think Jake will be good to go since he will have his #1 back. RB's are solid but I could see where people would think Turner and Ricky are risks. As far as your lineup, I would leave your lineup as is. Holmes should do very well vs a weak Houston secondary and Young should get his vs Oak. Hope I helped, good luck.
bscheibs 8 Posted September 7, 2008 Nothing wrong with this draft. Just looks like you drafted with 11 other guys who know what they're doing. You're also suffering from Mossitis- a condition that impacts the rest of your team when you draft the top WR. I like Delhomme. Lynch and Turner are both pretty solid. I'm not as high on HOlmes as most. I think you may find that you start Driver more than Holmes eventually- not this week. Go with Holmes this week and Young. The fins could get behind early taking Ricky out of the game.

I will probably play matchups with Garrard/Delhomme and hope to get 25-28 tds this year. I think I was mostly thrown off with the projections of Holmes 7 pts, and Driver 11.5. Thanks Again! whitey2876 0 Posted September 7, 2008 I have a similar team, but the guys I drafted with half of them are new to Fantasy. So I ended up with Holt, Marshall, Thomas Jones, Turner in the 9th, and more. But I took Moss and Lynch (10 & 11) which is what i assume you did here. It doesn't look bad. I'm not high on Garrard or Jake though. You should be fine as long as you play the matchups right each week at QB. As for this week I would say you need to go with Young over Williams. Oakland's run D was terrible last year and I don't recall them doing much to correct that. And this would be the week I would go with Holmes over Driver. Holmes should fair well against the Houston secondary. Thanks for the help with mine!

Also, this is 12 team league so I got Moss at 10 and Lynch at 15. As for Garrard/Delhomme, I won the Superbowl last year with E. Manning at QB (ouch) most of the season, getting McNabb and Chester Taylor in a late season trade helped, so we will see how this goes. Guess Manning was fine with Addai and Lynch, Chad Johnson, TO, and Randy Moss.
rperrom 0 Posted September 7, 2008 Nice starters, not alot of depth. I think Garrard and Lynch are going to have great years. Witten, Moss and Crosby are money.
kujerry 9 Posted September 7, 2008 Not bad, I am also really liking garrad, i have him in two of my league. waned him in all three but someone snaked me one him. But over all good, depth i think is a little short on RB, but not a prob.
Tacks 0 Posted September 7, 2008 Young and Holmes. Nice team. RBs a little weak but high upside (not completely sold on Lynch). Rest of the team, pretty solid. Nice Job. Thanks for mine
