here's the deal:

he gives:

matt jones

willie parker

bo scaife

 

I give:

eddie royal

kevin smith

kellen winslow

 

I need help at WR, but lose alot at TE.....it would help both of us, but may hurt me in the long run...I would then have to play the matchup at TE (which is a crapshoot of a position anyway) but be solid at RB and WR.

His other WR's are Edwards, Coles, Colston, Jenkins, Hackett, Greg Lewis, Curtis.

 

Making the trade would give me a starting line-up of:

Cassel/Shaub

TO

Marshall

Welker

Gore

Parker

Fasano/Scaife

This is close; I like it for you, but not by much. Parker is the best player in the deal and you would get him.

I like that you're picking up FWP, but the other two are serious downgrades for you. See if he can cough up somebody better than Jones and Scaife, or shop around some more.

I like it. Parker is looking pretty great so far and it's not like your WR core will be depleted: TO, Marshall, and Welker is solid. Factor in a running tandem of Gore and FWP and you have a pretty nasty team going. QB looks like more of an area of concern for you than anywhere else.

IMO getting FWP far outweighs the drop off in TE, so pull the trigger!

I guess the deal works. You're overpaying, but he doesn't have much else to offer and it will help you more that it hurts you. You could try to squeeze Colston out of him, but everyone else is pretty much a wash.
