fatty98 1 Posted November 13, 2008 Am 10-0 in my PPR league (standard scoring, 5 pts per passing TD, -2 for INTs, 1 pt per reception). I'm just trying to position myself for the playoffs as QB is my lone weak spot. My roster includes: QB: Delhomme, Garrard, Thigpen RB: R Bush, Chr Johnson, T Jones WR: Boldin, B Marshall, Welker, DBowe, LMoore TE: Gonzo, Scheffler I want to deal Thomas Jones as I think he's going to drop down to earth with his upcoming schedule. Am trying to get Peyton (Detroit and Jax are his playoff matchups after my bye week). Was thinking TJones and Lance Moore if he'd take it (he also has Eli and Favre). If that doesn't work, then was thinking of getting Romo for TJones (that guy also has Rodgers). Romo faces NYG and Balt for the playoff run, so not as high on him Should I make the Peyton trade first, if he agrees to it? And basically make Romo if the Peyton deal falls through? Or should I stick with depth seeing as how Bush is not 100% yet? Leave link, will answer yours.
lpdeluxe 0 Posted November 13, 2008 Stay put. Your QB situation isn't bad enough to lose a top RB for. Bush is not and won't be 100% this year, CJ is good but the Whale is always there to steal the thunder. Delhomme will wake up and Thigpen could prove to be a sleeper, + you have the Thigpen to Bowe potential double-point hookup. Hope that helps. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=333035
Tacks 0 Posted November 13, 2008 I've read this a few times now. If you make either trade, that leaves you with only 2 rbs? If that's the case, I wouldn't do it. Delhomme is servicable and believe it or not, Thigpen has been a top QB the last few weeks. Peyton isn't what he used to be (at least not this year) and Romo will be a bit rusty. If you are set on making either trade, I would do the Romo for Jones straight up. Going into the playoffs with only 2 RBs is a very ballsy move. Mine? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...t&p=3803043
Go long 0 Posted November 13, 2008 Don't leave yourself with 2 running backs going into the playoffs. If that would be the case, hold tight on trying to obtain a better QB. All are not great QB's but are serviceable. Personally I don't think you need 2 tight ends. If you really want to make a deal, include a tight end with a RB for a high end QB and lower end RB3 just in case. I know it can be difficult to find a team that needs a tight end. Thanks for mine. whitey2876 0 Posted November 13, 2008 I agree with the mass here. Stay with what you have or try the Jones for Romo straight up. I think Romo has a better chance to finish strong than Peyton. The Colts are not themselves this year and alot of that I think has to do with Manning and his missing the pre-season and off season surgery. Don't leave yourself with 2 RB's going into playoffs. What do you do if one goes down? Good Luck! Thanks for mine!
rlb 0 Posted November 13, 2008 You cant afford to move TJ with Bush not being certain to play. You would need to and could afford to include Welker or Bowe instead of Moore as that will be more enticing. The only way you do it is if you get a RB back in return. You can also offer up one of your QBs as well. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=333098
