dirtywhiteboy01 0 Posted August 18, 2009 Was the #1 receiver last yr for the Jags, even after his cocaine arrest. 6'6, 245 4.37 forty, 41 inch vertical Anyone heard if any teams are looking at him?
traders2001 0 Posted August 19, 2009 Afetr what i have seen form the Jags receivers yesterday , they should try to get him back .. Dallas has zero after Williams ( And Williams himself is very ordinary ) The Bears dont even have a #1 or #2 WR ( Hester isnt a WR ) The Pats would be a great fit to start opposite Moss with Welker in the slot . The Lions ( Jhonson and nothing ) There are lots of team who could use him .

They have Crayton, Austin, and Hurd, all of which have turned out to be pretty reliable recievers, plus two very good tight ends. There's barely enough ball to go around once you throw in the 3 tailbacks that will be getting touches. Hester will get a lot of looks in Chicago.. Add Greg Olsen into the mix and they have enough. The Pats have plenty of wideouts/TEs.. The Lions? Another WR? Mr. Millen, is that you?
dirtywhiteboy01 0 Posted August 19, 2009 The Lions? Another WR? Mr. Millen, is that you? I think the Lions should jump all over Matt Jones. They would have two 1000 yd+ guys then IMO.

The last thing a last place team needs is a player they may need to babysit. a more likely location for him would be Chicago where they also need WR's and they have some decent veteran leadership in the dressing room. This way he does not have to go in and assume any kind of leadership role.
Doozer 0 Posted August 20, 2009 They could use a receiver across from Holt in Jax... oh right! In all seriousness, I have no clue why he hasn't been signed yet... he had a good year last year on an awful Jax team. Jets, Miami, Minny, Bucs, Rams, Walters is good, but Jones across from AJ, or Jones in the slot would be deadly in HOU. Maybe I am just way too high on him, was really easy/good to rocket catch w/ him in Madden, JAX was my fav team to play as... lol.
