Owners needed for $100 12-team Head to Head League

Recommended Posts

I have run a solid 12-team fantasy football league for over 7 years, and now the waiting list has grown to where we are starting a new league to accomodate new owners. The league will run on Yahoo, and is a head to head 12-team league. The live online draft is Wednesday Sept 2 at 8:30pm EDT. League fee is $100 and prize breakdown and rules are below. References available upon request regarding my integrity and safety of your league funds. Below are the rules, please contact me if interested in participating. League fee must be paid before the draft. We are anticipating 12 teams. My email is sinsel1212@aol.com.

Holdem Bluffers League Rules 2009*

*These rules are based on a 12-team league. They will be amended once the exact number of teams is determined.

I. Overview

The league will consist of an even number of teams from 6 to 16 owners. There will be 13-14 weeks of the regular season followed by 2-3 weeks of playoffs. Each owner will select a roster of 16 players, and can make roster adjustments by signing free agents or trading with other owners. The league champion will be determined by a playoff at the end of the season. Any rule not covered in this rule sheet may be brought up for a vote.

II. Draft

Draft order will be randomly chosen. If there are 12 teams, Team 1 will have the 1st and 24th picks, Team 2 will have the 2nd and 23rd picks, etc……. Team 12 will have the 12th and 13th picks. The snake order draft will continue through the end of the draft. Draft order can be traded before the draft begins, but players may not be traded until the draft is over. There will be 16 rounds.

III. Positions

Any player whose position is in question will be determined by the team’s website on NFL.com

IV. Lineups

Weekly starting lineups will consist of 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF, and 1 flex player (RB-WR-TE) The owner is responsible for changing his lineup on the Yahoo website.

After week 10, there will be no trades. All trades are subject to a three-man trade committee vote.

VII. Player Pickups

A. Unrestricted Free Agents

Players not on any roster are considered unrestricted free agents. A team may add any unrestricted free agent at any time during the regular season. Free agents are considered first-come first-served additions. No additions may be made once the Fantasy Playoffs begin.

B. Waivers

Players that are released are considered ‘on waivers’ until the following week. A team may claim a player on waivers, however, if multiple teams claim a player, then the team that is highest on the waiver order will be awarded that player. Once a team is awarded a waived player, they will fall to the end of the list for waiver order. CBS Sportsline.com will track the waiver wire order.
