Up to 16 is good.... more than that is too big.....if it's a money league put in the work and it will pay off...... because some will just buy a magazine the day before the draft ......with 14 and 16 teams you need to be a bit more prepared. Dawgoneit2 6 Posted August 23, 2009 Played in a 14 team league for many a year. I really, really liked the size of that league. Of course, as it is with any laugue, you have to have it filled up with knowlegable and dedicated owners who with integrity. The rest takes care of itself. If I remmber right, because of the 14 teams (we had 2 div's) there was some wild card stuff to work around in the playoffs. Bottom line, 14 teams, with the type of owners as described above, becomes a very cometitive league do to the scarcity of players. One thing that I feel is a must with a league this size is that you have to set up the FA aquisitions on a worst to first basis. That pisses of some owners who constantly scan the wires for pick-up and have a phone (with internet service) in the other hand to make the grab... but it's the only way to be fair about it (for those who have a life/work, etc)... -Behr

I think that is definetly the way to run to make it fair and more competitive.
