skibadee 0 Posted August 25, 2009 12 man no PPR 6TD We start 1 QB 2 WR 1 TE 1 DST 1 K Since this league started when TE did ###### all they have this rule in place for TE scoring that has never changed We give 1 point for each 10 yards rec and at 50 yards rec we give an extra 5 points So basically 50 rec yards is worth 10 points total I think the rule sucks since TE's are much better now but I have to deal with it so my question is how high do I bump up my TE with these rules? We Tigers 71 Posted August 25, 2009 Well, it applies to all TEs so it doesn't mean you have to grab one up super-early at the expense of a top RB/WR, but it probably means you want to stray away from TEs who are heavy redzone targets but low on yardage. For example, Visanthe Shiancoe had 7 TDs last year and Kevin Boss had 6, but they only topped 50 yards 4 and 2 times, respectively. The guys like Gonzalez/Clark/Witten get a little more separation at the top tier because they put up 50 yards 10 times a year.
joeunleaded 0 Posted August 25, 2009 With this handicap, I'd bump the Tier 1 TEs (Gates, Gonzo, Witten, Clark, maybe Olsen) to same level as Tier 3 WRs - After the top 10 WRs are gone, I'd get a strong TE. Also - assume you forgot to put RB's in your starting line up? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=348076
