seh2000 5 Posted September 16, 2009 We have to keep 5 RBs. I currently have Adrian Peterson Pierre Thomas (IR) Fred Jackson (picked up for Pierre) Derrick Ward Chester Taylor (handcuff for ADP) Felix Jones We have 1 IR spot for a guy listed as OUT...you pay for it heavily...but either way...we have it...so... Now that Pierre is likely back, I have to get rid of Jackson, Ward or Jones...thinking I have to keep Taylor. So if I can pull something off quick...I could try to trade Jackson, Ward or Jones...for a WR (could use some more depth). Should I do it...or which guy should I dump to activate Thomas again. Thoughts on Jackson is he has 3 games left till Lynch returns...but may get some good PT. Stumped...
madd futher mucker 36 Posted September 16, 2009 I would dump....none of the above. You haven't run down your whole line-up, so i can't tell you who to dump unless you do, but DO NOT put any of your RBs on the waiver wire. If you are carrying two TEs or two QBs or 2 D/STs, or if you have one weaker WR in your WR group, dump one of them - even if in the short term it affects your depth at these positions. Take your time and make a good 2 for 1 trade with the guy in your league who has weak or shallow RBs but strong WRs. Unless you are in an 8 team league, you can't just give this kind of talent away! (And after 1250 posts, you should know to include all the info that might relate to your problem so that someone who really understands fantasy football and who thinks outside the box has a chance to give you the best answer.) FeelingMN 273 Posted September 16, 2009 Tough spot to be in....lots of good RBs there. I'd keep Jackson as he looked really good on MNF and will be a factor when Lynch returns. If possible, try to trade Felix or DWard. I'd be willing to part with a solid WR3 for those guys....especially if I was hurting at RB. Someone like Cotchery/Mason/Driver/Breaston. Good luck. seh2000 5 Posted September 16, 2009 pardon the bump but hopeful for more insight. Also is a PPR league too.
madd futher mucker 36 Posted September 16, 2009 First let me say I'd NEVER play in a league that requires keeping two Ds and two Ks. that degree of rigidity stiffles everything you can do to improve your team. I hate this league. hope it is a "friends or office" league and not a money league. but in that case you just gotta work out the best trade you can....and fast. Failing that, you are really between a rock and a hard place. The only thing I can tell you for sure is what you already know....Dont Drop ADP. The rest of the RBs are more even than you realize. sbas2k 0 Posted September 16, 2009 I trade Fred Jackson high. Even if he continues to play well, once Marshawn comes back he will lose at least some carries. Maybe you can get some good value with the Lynch owner but having Crabtree and Walters is not good...try to get a better wr.
