Tacks 0 Posted September 17, 2009 PPR league. Lee Evans is currently on waivers (available tommorrow). We have a position max so I have to drop a WR for him. Who would you drop out of this group? A Gonzalez P Crayton P Harvin J Gage My other two starters are A Johnson and Housh. I don't know why he dropped Evans but he shouldn't be on waivers (IMO). I just picked up J Gage but now I'm thinking he's the odd man out. What do you think?
Tacks 0 Posted September 17, 2009 I wish I knew more about Gonzalez's injury. I'm thinking maybe he should be the guy I drop.
We Tigers 71 Posted September 17, 2009 Tough one. You don't have a "bad" WR. For me, it'd probably be Gonzalez if the injury is more than 3-4 weeks. Between the others it's tough; I'd probably drop Patrick Crayton by default just because he's Patrick Crayton, but he did look very good against Tampa and Romo seems to be showing no signs of missing TO. Gage is your low-upside guy, but again--he looked great, and did it against a very tough defense. I do agree that you should go for Evans, though; he had a lousy game, but it's one game in with a new OC and new star receiver. He'll get a bit better than that. Harvin had a very good first game, and you can't ditch him and feel good about it. What I'd do is run through your starting lineup for each week and think about it in terms of who you'd start. If you're starting three wides, you can check and see who has the most favorable matchups the rest of the way, and dump the guy with the least of them. My gut says to lose Crayton; out of the 5 receivers in play, he's the last one I would try to claim.
Tacks 0 Posted September 17, 2009 Since it's a PPR, I usually start 3 RBs (Westy, R Bush, and R Brown. McCoy and Lynch on the bench). So... I'll take your advice and look at A Johnson's off week and Housh's off week.
Busted by the Feds 9 Posted September 17, 2009 I'd narrow it down to Gonzalez or Crayton too. Harvin and Gage have too much upside and the season is still young.
BigMilk 40 Posted September 17, 2009 Thanks for mine. Crayton is the odd man out here. The others have too much upside, and while its tempting to dump Gonzo, if he comes back and is able to play in a few weeks you'll regret giving up on him now. Lee Evans is a definite upgrade over Crayton; with the other guys its less clear.
joellarocca 0 Posted September 17, 2009 I would consider either Gonzo or Crayton. I would say Crayton if Gonzo wasn't injured, but it's hard to tell with Gonzo's injury how long he will be out. I think Crayton will be up and down. Roy Williams and Witten are the #1 & #2 in Dallas. Thanks for the help on mine.
