I would NOT make the trade. Addai will be a free agent after this season and I don't see the Colts re-signing him. Palmer is a great matchup play on certain weeks. If you get Addai, what do you really gain? He isn't going to put up "starter" points and you already have Brown. I see nothing that you would gain except you would own both RB's in a rbbc situation. That does nothing for you but deplete your QB depth.
Tony_Romo_Domination 0 Posted October 1, 2009 is this a joke? YOu have donald brown and palmer seems to be getting ready for a hot streak with his schedule finally getting easy and you will give palmer away for 50% of the colts running game. Breaking News: You already have 50% of the colts running game, the better half I might add No to this trade.
RSersen 0 Posted October 1, 2009 I would say...no. Since you can mix and match RB/WR, here's a hypothetical line-up. QB: Palmer RB: McGahee, Brown WR: Moss, AJ, Marshall Now, here's after the trade: QB: Cutler RB: McGahee, Addai WR: Moss, AJ, Marshall Any better? Not really. Having Addai and Brown doesn't help your line-up....it protects against injuries, sure. But you're also hogging two spots so they can hand-cuff each other, when neither one is really worthy of a handcuff. And you're not going to keep Addai over Brown. I don't see what he adds to your team. On the other hand, having Cutler and Palmer does help your line up. They're only 5 points apart right now in standard fantasy leagues - two good QBs that you can plug in and out and play matchups with. I do think you need a better #4 than Greene. And if you keep Cutler/Palmer, Favre then becomes expendable. See if he can have a good night against the Packers, to build on his late-game heroics last week...then sell high to a desperate team and get whatever you can.
