fugoondo 3 Posted October 1, 2009 2009-10-01 13:03:02 Tom Kowalski, of MLive.com, reports Detroit Lions RB Kevin Smith (shoulder) participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 1. The Lions were not in full pads during practice. The Lions are expected to watch Smith through the end of the week of practice. Fantasy Impact: This is a positive. Don't rule out Smith for playing this week just yet.
pee-diddy 27 Posted October 1, 2009 Thanx 4 the info. Itz also about how effective he can actually be once he's on the field. I'm a li'l scared that DET will be so far behind that Smith might not even be much of a factor. Basically a repeat of most of '08.
Bones40 0 Posted October 1, 2009 Thanx 4 the info. Itz also about how effective he can actually be once he's on the field. I'm a li'l scared that DET will be so far behind that Smith might not even be much of a factor. Basically a repeat of most of '08. If that's the case I would count on Smith getting a lot of dump off passes as Chicago's D gets pressure on Stafford. I just don't know. I think I have better options to start instead of Smith this week. If he wasn't injured, I'd play him but I think with the injury I feel better about Knox or even TO over him in my PPR league. I guess I'll wait and see what they say about him closer to game time.
fugoondo 3 Posted October 2, 2009 updatd again..... 2009-10-01 17:53:38 Updating a previous report, Nicholas J. Cotsonika, of the Detroit Free Press, reports Detroit Lions RB Kevin Smith (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 1. But he is expected to play in Week 4. Fantasy Impact: Practicing is a good sign. We wouldn't bank on him playing just yet. GOnna be watching this closely... Now I have to decide whether to play a healthy Pierre Garcon...or a banged up Kevin Smith
