mpwallerk22 0 Posted October 23, 2009 I would be giving up Brady for AJ, i need help at WR bad, and have Shaub on my bench to replace Brady, so is it worth pulling the trigger on this trade, any advice is appreciated.
Michael123 0 Posted October 23, 2009 Depends on who you're other WRs are but I think I would not do it since AJ and Schaub's success will be obviously linked to one another. However, if you need help that bad at WR, and need to make up some ground in standings, then do it and hope they go crazy. No better way to make up ground then slingshotting those two... bigdog78 0 Posted October 23, 2009 If your receivers are that bad, you should pull the trigger. A healhy schaub is just as good as brady. See mine : http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=354919
team awesome 4 Posted October 23, 2009 without a doubt AJ is a top 3 wide receiver. schaub has been on a tear lately. and brady had that one really big game and then some decent games throughout. aj is definately worth it as schaub and brady arent too far off in numbers average. Andrew Martinez 0 Posted October 24, 2009 Thanks for mine. As others posted, if you really need help that bad at WR then go ahead and do it. Schaub and Brady are pretty much the same in value right now.
jdibella 0 Posted October 24, 2009 I'm not sure how anyone can say not to do this. You have two solid QBs and need help at WR. I think this is a no-brainer. Schaub has been tearing it up this year and AJ has benefited from it tremendously. Pull the trigger and don't look back.
Folger71 0 Posted October 24, 2009 Here's the rub... While AJ is probably the best wide receiver in the league (and I don't know how many would disagree after watching this -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0nD_ykEqdk), you are now putting a number of your eggs in one basket. As an example, I have Slaton and Schaub. Schaub has been a huge boon to my team this year, throwing for 4 TDs on multiple occasions. However, if he does not do well, neither do the others on the team for the most part. Even Slaton. i.e. keeping your team diversified can be a good thing, that's all I am saying. Overall, though, I would pull the trigger too. Having both overall I think will be good, except for week
notJames 0 Posted October 24, 2009 I think you're giving up too much, even though the need is great. I'd angle for AJ plus maybe a RB2, purely on perceived value. If your league has to vote on the trade, I don't know that it would go through so easily. If the other guy is desperate, see what kind of package deal you can get. Brady is pretty valuable right now, and I think the trade would go smoother if it looked more equitable. But again, I don't know how knowledgeable your fellow GMs are, so YMMV. That said, you still have Schaub, and he's equally hot right now, so you're not losing much. Plus the double-dip possibilities are enticing. Just be sure you're covered in Week Ten (their bye week). I guess pull the trigger if you can't finagle more out of the other guy. Good luck. Now, how about a little help?
