salparadise 1 Posted August 4, 2010 X-rays showed no breakage to the troublesome left wrist, which has been problematic for two years. Thomas had surgery on the wrist in 2008 and bruised it again in 2009. Thomas wrote today via his twitter feed, "Thanks for all the comments...I'll be back on the field real soon" Meanwhile, first round pick CB Patrick Robinson and TE Tory Humphrey suffered hamstring injuries today, the eventual severity of which is unknown. CB Tracy Porter was limited due to back spasms. TE Jeremy Shockey (knee) and LB Scott Shanle (knee) continue to miss practice with minor knee bruises. Source: New Orleans Pro Football This is great news for Thomas owners. The running back situation in New Orleans is somewhat of a fantasy nightmare, but at least Thomas owners won’t have to worry about Mike Bell stealing goal line carries. Look for Thomas in the third or fourth round of a twelve team league. He should be a fine #2 running back with the potential of being a stud should Payton not appoint another mediocre journeyman player like Bell as the goal line back. ROYALWITCHEESE 0 Posted August 5, 2010 He's already back. If it were a game, he would have finished.
Ray_T 591 Posted August 5, 2010 no, he wouldnt have finished the game. Coaches tend to be more careful with offensive players who have wrist injuries because they are scared the player will fumble the ball. he would have been back for the next game for sure. pimptastic69 0 Posted August 5, 2010 Ughh. Can't decide if I love this guy or hate this guy. On the one hand he's a pass catching back on a powerhouse offense , and on the other hand he either disappears or gets hurt when you need him the most . He's kind of like the Chad Johnson of RBs.
