stonewall 647 Posted August 9, 2010 I KNOW IT IS ONLY THE PRESEASON However, he is looking like his usual productive self tonight......7 carries/41 yards. Typical for him, as he averaged about 5.5 on 64 carries last year. The problem is that he is buried up on the depth chart, as we know. What is interesting is that I often see him go undrafted in 12 team mocks. I usually grab him or Bernard Scott very late to ensure some depth, but I am starting to think that Choice is the better option. Yes, Scott is only one injury away, whereas Choice is two injuries away......but Scott looks terrible (5 carries/10 yards). We know that Barber and Felix have both struggled to stay healthy........so what do you think? Potential late round jewel? Or fools gold?

I'd say Choice is really only one injury away from being fantasy relevant. Barber goes down, and Choice would be the touchdown vulture over Jones. Jones goes down, and Choice would likely be getting the larger share of carries over Barber. I'd go with Scott, all that said. While I think both are one injury away from being relevant, Scott is an injury away from being a 3 down feature back, while unless the stars align, Choice won't ever be more than a role player. And the first preseason game of the year isn't enough to turn me off of Scott.
