Militia 0 Posted October 24, 2010 8 Team - 4 Keeper - Standard Scoring + PPR I have been offered Jahvid Best and Vincent Jackson for Frank Gore. Gore and Best have been producing around the same (this year). Gore is def. more solid and dependable. But I'm in last place and spent this years draft re-building. Jahvid would make me younger, and even if Jackson doesn't produce too much this year, he would be a good keeper option. What's y'alls thoughts? Rest of my roster: Big Ben - Eli, Frank Gore, Ryan Matthews, Ronnie Brown, Tolbert, Reggie Wayne, Hakeem Nicks, Mike Wallace, Steve Smith (NYG), Jermichael Finley, Dustin Keller... BingoBrown 8 Posted October 25, 2010 Nope, I wouldn't do the trade. You're essentially trading away a known-quantity RB for an unknown-quantity RB. And RBs are what you need the most. Look, your keepers are obviously Gore, Wayne, and Nicks. Not sure who your 4th would be, but that's beside the point. Your only good keeper RB is Gore, don't trade him away. If you do, then you keep Best, Wayne, Nicks, and V-Jax. Is that really any better than Gore, Wayne, Nicks, and Wallace/Finley/Big Ben? If you're dead last, you ain't making the playoffs. Plan for next year. Losing a guaranteed Top 10 draft pick like Frank Gore is not a good idea.

He is right. in a keeper league it is all about having the best quality keepers in the offseason. normally, people in your position should be sending multiple players to a contender to get a top notch keeper to re-load for next year. Not the opposite.
