10th pick in 10 team .5PPR league?

Recommended Posts

I have the 10th and 11th picks in a 10 team .5 point per reception league. Do you think I should go RB/WR, WR/WR, or RB/RB?? Who do you think will still be there? My original thinking was to hope that 2 of 4 WRs (Megatron, AJohnson, Roddy, or Nicks) would be there, but now I am not sure. Do I take Mendenhall at 10 or is that too early? I have never done half a point per reception, so I am trying to do the math to see what kind of difference it makes as compared to a full point per. Any thoughts??

Format:

1QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, DEF, K, Flex (RB/WR)

Hi thunderbox. What I've mostly been telling people is whether you go RB early or WR early, really does depend on how comfortable you will be with the options available to you later on, rounds 3 through 5 or 6. Some people are perfectly happy taking those later round RBs - Bradshaw, Best, Greene, Felix Jones - because they have top WRs anchoring their team. Others are more keen to grab lower rated WRs.

I tend to lean for the middle and go one of each. If I was going to go with a pair, more likely it would be WR/WR near the end of the 1st than RB/RB. I just think it is tough to beat those stud WRs, but if a top 7-8 RB fell to me then I'd have a tough time passing on him.

Now, I usually play 1 PPR instead of half PPR, so I'd have to look at the numbers and the rest of my lineup requirements with what the CC/DB spit out at me before ultimately making the call.

If you can grab 2 of those WRs (add Fitz in there too), I would rather have them than Mendenhall. I will say that much. I wouldn't take Mendenhall over them just because he is a RB. I'm neither high or low on the guy. He just doesn't excite me that much. Not sure how realistic it is you could get two of those WRs with your 1st and 2nd pick. That will depend on your league. I imagine Nicks could easily fall to the 2nd.
