Honey Badger 0 Posted November 28, 2011 I've been suffering through Bowe's up and down season but I have a hunch that Orton may be just what the doctor ordered. Frankly, I think Orton is a better QB from a fantasy perspective than Matt Cassell and light years ahead of Tyler Palko. Bowe has always been streaky but he's managed to be somewhat relevant even with Palko. He was one drop away last night from having a monster game even with his awful "effort" on the Chiefs final drive. Given the anger shown by Palko, I'm not too sure he'd be looking Bowe's way in the future so a switch to Orton couldn't come at a better time. What do you think? While Bowe might have not given a ton of effort on that last pass, It was terribly inaccurate into triple coverage. I'm sure Bowe was just as frustrated with Palko. If Orton looks Bowe's way as much as Palko did, he may be a monster down the stretch. We all saw what Orton did for Brandon Lloyd last season, so I can only hope for that kind of output. I would argue that it was not Orton, but rather the coach and the scheme installed there. Lloyd was not all that good in Denver this season and I think the change of coach may have been part of the cause. I acknowledge the QB was a part of that success, but I wouldnt go giving him all the credit. I do believe in Orton, but to expect him to come in in one week and work miracles is expecting too much. I wouldnt expect bowes numbers to improve in any significant way until Orton is on his third start. so if you have Bowe, he may not be startable again until fantasy football playoff time. That is my opinion, you are welcome to take the advice or not.
