Keepers - I must be screwed it up

Recommended Posts

I am in a keeper league, 3 keepers max (some teams with 2, some with 3 with a 1st round pick loss). I could not figure out how to add the keepers (my fault), so I actually did a draft of the first two rounds, plus some skipped picks and draftees in round 3 to get all the keepers off the cheatsheets. I then figured out how to do the keepers correctly (again, my fault), so I removed all the drafted players. I then entered the keepers, but they only seem to be on the keepers tab, and not removed from the cheatsheets, not listed on the rosters tab, etc.

Obviously, I did something wrong with the Excel 2010 workbook. At this point, am I better off downloading a clean copy, and then copying the scoring over from my current one, so I don't have to recreate everything.

Any and all suggestions and welcome. Thanks guy.

Hi Quincy. I don't think you need to download again. Lets try this:

1. Go to the rules tab, set max keepers at 3 and keepers cost a draft pick to no.

2. Go to the action tab, change the reset keepers option to no but the reset draft order to yes.

3. Hit Compile Cheatsheets.

Now, the keepers you put in the keepers tab should still be there. Check that the players are marked off the cheatsheets.

Now, did you put the third on in per team? If so, then you might want to take them off the keepers tab, and just input them directly on the draft report tab in the 1st round where the team is giving up the pick. For teams that didn't keep a third player, their 1st round pick is still open for them.

That do it?

Oh, and at this point, go to the action tab and change the reset draft order option to no, so it doesn't erase those first round keepers if you Compile Cheatsheets again.
