Two Add/Drop Questions

LaGerrette Blount - At this point not only is he banged up, he's not even the clear handcuff. I'm not sold he is worth a roster spot even as a Martin owner.

 

Move Being Considered:

Braylon Edwards - I don't trust Boldin enough and Braylon is in a good situation. Wilson loves throwing him the rock.

D.J. Ware - I feel as though he is more of the clear #2 back and if Martin went down I get the feeling he'd be getting more carries that Blount who appears to be in Schiano's doghouse.

 

Brent Celek - Picked him up off waivers but with the Eagles backup TE earning more looks I don't love him. He was good over the course of the end of last season, but has never been consistent.

 

Move Being Considered:

Scott Chandler - With a banged up backfield and losing their #2 receiver, combined with a slightly gimpy Stevie Johnson, his value seems to be on the rise.

 

I was going to add/drop ARI DEF/ST for CIN but I'd rather make player moves and pick up another D if CIN is claimed since I'm going to stream a D anyway.

 

 

Essentially would you drop Blount for Edwards or Ware and would you drop Celek for Scott Chandler?

For the first waiver decision I would stay pat and keep blount. I don't really see any use in picking up Braylon because of his rookie QB and the fact that he has suspect hands at best and as far as I know ware is still number 3 behind blount. For the second waiver decision I would try and target Kyle Rudolph if he is still available. I like him as a sleeper this year and he is available in most leagues

Rudolph isn't currently available. Chandler is the best option. I see no major reason to pick him up because Celek is certainly a solid bench TE.

 

Thanks for the input on Blount. I'm really questioning keeping him and like Braylons chances. I have Boldin but am worried bc Marshall is a domestic violence charge away from a suspension and Harvin is a migraine away from endless Q's next to his name. I do have LaFell though who I do believe has himself a solid season. If I had a roster decision I'd probably start him this week.

 

I could always just not make a claim, shoot up the waiver ladder and hope someone makes a panic drop. I want to make sure I don't make a claim just for the sake of making a claim.

I would for Edwards and chandler. I don't like celek w Vick throwing and ware would still be on waivers probably if Martin went down. Chandler doesn't have a better situation either with fitz throwing to him, but he can catch and buffalo is hurting for receivers. I think you have to make those moves.

Thanks! This was kind of my thinking. Ware is probably equal value as a handcuff to Blount if not more, and somebody has got to make plays in BUF and they do like throwing Chandler the ball, especially in the red zone. Appreciate your input.

I'd say drop Blount for Edwards. Edwards may be able to play for you some weeks but its not looking good for Blount. I'd hold on all the other moves you mentioned.

i actually decided to hold off and monitor who gets dropped....edwards only got the start cuz tate was out...and he didnt exactly set the world on fire. someone may pick him up but he'll probably be dropped again.

 

im not claiming a D either...there are 4 that I like and I see no more than 3 teams who would add one. so i get one no matter what.

 

this way i climb the waiver ladder and if someone drops a receiver i like I'll make a move. if not i'll hold off...blount nor anyone i play is going to crack my lineup any time soon so its irrelevant...

 

smart move is to stay put for now, although blounts spot is as good as gone once i see a player that i really like.
