phillybear 365 Posted September 13, 2012 NCAA: 21-17-1; +2.48 units NFL: 5-9; -4.15 units CFL: 1-1; +1.7 units Thursday. Another golden opportunity to lose money on some meaningless games just because they are on TV. NCAA South Florida (-7)@-130 for 3 units LOSER South Florida is putting up some impressive offensive numbers, which is the opposite of what we have come to expect. Last week they knocked off a decent Nevada team which is a very, very tough team at home in Nevada. Rutgers hasn't played anyone that is worth a sh!t yet, really seemed to struggle with a bad Tulane team and Div 1-AA Howard. Rutgers has a new head coach and a new QB that is struggling badly so far against bad teams so I don't think they can trade scores with So Flor. NFL Edit upgraded: Chicago (+5.5) for 3 units LOSER I'll throw this in when I get home from work, so I don't have a line yet. Green Bay had the worst defense in the league last year, and it doesn't look any better. Chicago put up some impressive offensive numbers last week, although the Colts aren't all that great defensively. Still, all those new offensive weapons should improve the Bears. The logical play is to take Green Bay to bounce back from a loss, and they beat Chicago twice last year by double digits, but contrarian is the way to go in the NFL over the long haul. Good luck to all.

phillybear 365 Posted September 13, 2012 DrBob 4-2 on Best Bets (8-5 on Stars) for +2.5 Stars and Strong Opinions are also 4-2 He's off to a decent start this year, better than me, and I had the games he liked circled, so these will be part of my Saturday card too. Use them, fade them, ignore them. For informational purposes, as those lines all moved. They are all late games. Weird. 3 stars: Fresno St 2 stars: UCLA Strong opinions: Mississippi, Arizona St, Stanford.
emdig66 0 Posted September 14, 2012 Couple of games stand out to me this week. I think Ohio State should be able to beat Cal by at least 20. This game is at noon and so Cal would be playing 9am Pacific. Probably means jack but I'm a sucker for stuff like that. Also like Mich State over Dame. Pitt is terrible and I can't see them scoring on VT's defense. Line is 10-11 though so slight lean towards VT. Also like Penn St and Mizzou. Good luck boys. phillybear 365 Posted September 14, 2012 NCAA: 21-18-1; -1.42 units NFL: 5-10; -7.45 units CFL: 1-1; +1.7 units Thursday was rather painful. Stupid mid week games. Killing me for a couple of years now. Can't get one right. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I need to consider passing on them completely. That's the logical thing to do. It would be the right thing to do. Anyway... Friday NCAA Washington St (-8) for 3 units PUSH Good luck to all.

Hurricane Ditka 0 Posted September 15, 2012 6-4 overall this season. Having issues with bookie. Anyone use bovada???? Thinking this may be my last week with bookie 5 plays UMass +45.5 Cal +17 Miami Oh +22 BYU -3.5 Alabama -20 I am Not anywhere close to thinking Michigan won't give up 14 points. Which would mean they need score over 55. Not seeing it. Also not seeing Ohio State roll up considering they are down to like their 5th RB. Boise should roll, but I like the just over 3 TD spread. Love BYU and Utah was a major disappointment in the last rivalry game against Utah St. Bama will roll the not so hogs.

Bouve-Rules 0 Posted September 15, 2012 Trying to get a few recipes for ribs to change things up. Suggestions? Nothing too outrageous. My favorite is to marinade the ribs overnight in Coke (Coca-Cola, not cocaine). Sounds like your well past that stage. I did run to the grocery store after your post and picked up some boneless spare ribs. Not 15 pounds, more like 1.5 lbs! Here are my plays for today: MN Gophers -3 UCONN -2.5 Missouri -3 Wisconsin -14.5 USC -8.5 Va Tech -10.5 That's right - all chalk, all the time! Let the dogs starve today boys. Good luck to all!!
