dj88 0 Posted September 16, 2012 The Lions DB's called him a possession receiver. It seems like any time you dis Randy, he tends to play big. I'm going to play him as my WR3.
Bruce Benedict 0 Posted September 16, 2012 Yeah, I got him going in the one league. FWIW, I pretty much agree with the Lions' DB's, but I don't see that as a slight toward Randy. He no longer has world-class speed, but he knows the game so well he's been able to transition to a route runner and a possession guy. Never thought we'd be able to say Randy could evolve this way when he was young. Good for him. Also FWIW, all possession receivers aren't created equal. Specifically, really tall ones who coaches like to throw to in the end zone tend to be pretty damn valuable in fantasy. I see Moss as equal to pretty much that whole tier of receivers you start if you don't have healthy studs. He's a pretty good fantasy option, who doesn't happen to have a particularly daunting matchup this week. I can see a top 20 week out of him, and a borderline top 20 season wouldn't shock me. DrG 103 Posted September 16, 2012 Moss plays about 1/3 of the snaps - I would temper expectations.
veebs4 2 Posted September 16, 2012 Not yet...he is a WR3 right now at best, and is on my bench until either his # of snaps + production increases, or one (or two) of my other WRs get injured/go on bye. Something to keep an eye on, though.
