vlade21 0 Posted September 4, 2004 Did we figure anything out about guys that are sometimes a DE and sometimes an OLB? I notice John Abraham is listed as an OLB on the Jets website.
FourTwoOh 0 Posted September 4, 2004 I really haven't checked nfl.com recently, but are their listing's accurate enough to use?

I can think of TWO situations like this around the league. Abraham and Ayodele. Any others? If using NFL.com's depth charts is more accurate then I will post an update on the players in question before the draft, so we're all in understanding. I'll also run the situation by TR, and see if he is aware of any other position changes between DEs and OLBs... Fair enough? Accuracy should prevail over Yahoo. I forgot about the DL/LB thing... Doh... Thing is Abraham will be playing both positions and so will Ayodele. Methinks you all are going to have to live with my decision on this.

I have no idea if there are others. I don't care how it's done but there should probably be some official system in place for determining what position a player can be played at.
