steelers2101 7 Posted August 30, 2014 I see what you are saying, but you are talking about backing up your guy with another player several rounds, or more, later. This guy took two TE's in the 2nd and 3rd round in a league where you can only start one. How does that help? I can see doing it how you did it, and agree it is a sound strategy in some instances. Using two of your first three picks on TE's is just plain stupid in this case. He can now start one good TE each week, but his QB/RB/WR's suffer tremendously. I'm not a psychic, but there is no way in hell this guy makes the playoffs. I would be shocked if he wins for than 3 games. Last year, dominated my league going Peyton, Brady and RG3 in the 2nd, 3rd and 5th at expense of WR. Got Gordon and Edelman late. Also had Patterson and traded a non QB for a WR. Dominated a couple years before that going QB, QB with my first two picks, because I drafted Julio (6th), and Jordy and Antonio Brown really late in their breakout seasons. Point is, as long as you make great use of your later picks, you can still use an early pick on a backup without much of a hit to your roster, while successfully knocking your opponents down a notch.
