Bush Snr. is the President of the United States, and the movie Dead Again is at the top of the box office. John Major is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Texting is not a thing yet. Instead, people are using landline phones and pagers. Furthermore, most people have never heard of the Internet. In fashion, many of the trends from the late 80s are still popular. Colored tights, denim overalls, leotards, flannel shirts and shoulder pads are all fashionable at the moment. A civil war is taking place in the African country of Rwanda. If you were to travel back to this day, notable figures such as Miles Davis, Freddie Mercury, Benny Hill, and Robert Reed would all still be alive. On TV, people are watching popular shows such as "Last of the Summer Wine", "Full House", "Family Matters", and "One Foot in the Grave". Meanwhile, gamers are playing titles such as "SimCity", "Golden Axe", "Railroad Tycoon", and "Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse". Children and teenagers are watching television shows such as "The Smurfs", "Danger Mouse", "The Simpsons", and "Rosie and Jim".
