season update

we are 2/3 of the way through the season

how is your team doing?   what has been your biggest surprise?

for me, my team is 9-1.  I am in first place.  it is a 12 team, 2 QB league (similar to superflex but you have to flex out your second QB)

I'm amazed and surprised that i am 9-1. 

Season started with a win and one of my starting RB (Dobbins) got hurt.  I promptly went onto the wire paid some FAAB and got  Kyren Williams then I chugged along until Kyren williams got hurt.  then after a couple more wins I had a nightmare week.  Kirk Cousins went down and my backup QB ryan Tannehill went down as did my starting TE (waller).

I managed to pick up Heinecke and win a couple games with smoke, mirrors good pickups and some good fortune in having opponents have bye weeks.

I'll be honest this does not feel like a 9-1 team.  it feels more like a 6-3 team but I am not complaining

I did end up having to trade Kyren williams yesterday to get another starting QB.   funny thing... nobody wants to help the guy who is 9-1.  It was an overpay but one I needed to make If I wanted any hope of winning a championship.

things could be worse.  given the number of injuries, I should probaby be out of the playoff picture..... but given injuries my 9-1 record matters little.  I doubt I'll have the staying power for the playoffs.
