TalentScout 2 Posted March 7 I was hoping we could get everyone to chime in on this. I have seen quite a few times that people are up to draft but it feels like an inappropriate time to text them. Can everybody chime in that they either have their phone on silent when they don't want to be bothered or don't. My phone is on silent when I don't want to be bothered. Torn 45 Posted March 7 My phone is never silenced by personal choice and habit. Over the past few years with my wife's medical woes, I had to be reachable at all times. I also have on-call responsibilities for work. Pinging me doesn't necessarily result in an immediate response if I'm otherwise pre-occupied, though. I've never felt overwhelmed by league texts, so no complaints from me. Yes, I get the occasionally redundant "you're up" texts, but that's fine and doesn't bother me in the least. One thing that HAS occasionally bothered me is folks forgetting that we all live in different time zones. Getting pinged/woken up at 11pm+ ET (I'm typically in bed by 10-10:30) to make a pick kind of sucks. That being said, I've probably been a too early alarm clock for some of our MT/PT managers myself over the years - LOL. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
kysar_soze 7 Posted March 7 I've got my phone set to DND during my sleep/rest hours - please feel free to text any time. I'm West Coast time zone for what it's worth. What I'd love to see is a brief table of times that its okay/not okay to text for the league & for those of us that say text any time what are the typical hours. For example, I'm unlikely to make a pick prior to 7:00 AM Pacific but will be up late. My schedule daily is highly variable. Super appreciate the posts like Varga's with upcoming blackout times - and he just picked in the middle of his blackout. We are doing really well on timing being in the 15th round by 3/7.
